Re: Best Seconds

I think the brother was lookin out for your wallet as far as what they cost. In the final analysis it's all about cost and taste. my 2 cents

I have tried the Sol Cubano but not the seconds,,,I'd be interested in a seeing a review of that as well. Love saving money on my favorite hobby,,esp. during these times.

Anyone tried the Sol Cubano cuban cabinet seconds??? they look good too

Wow... relax my man, seemed by your original post that you were concerned about price point, and FDO's can be more affordable than alot of seconds... especially if you know where too look.. didn't realize your more affordable sticks had to be the defects...

good luck in your search anyway.. cheers

Re: Best Seconds

For 2nds, try the Perdomo ESV 2nds. If you like that stick, then this is the exact same thing for at least $1 less per cigar. I'll trade a band for a buck any day! The La Aurora 2nds are pretty good too. There is a rumor that CI is going to be getting a bunch of Padilla and Oliva 2nds in this year...we'll see.

As for other good cigars under $4...there aren't too many at retail price. My faves would be:

Illusione Cuchillos Cubanos
Tatuaje Series P
Padron Londres
Oliva Series G
5 Vegas

If you mean under $4 at cbid or something...then there are too many good ones to name.

ditto on the padillas, it would take some luck to beat them.

Re: Best Seconds

Thx for the info on the Perdomo's,,,I love this line as well. Bands do not impress me much so I will take taste anyday. Hope your rumor is true,,,I plan to get a bigger coolerador for some of the deals that might be forthcoming.

Re: Best Seconds

So even though they aren't seconds, How do the Padilla Achilles and Obsidian stack up against the Habano seconds??? I ask because they're at about the same price point.

Re: Best Seconds

I concur,,,,Padilla makes a good cigar and the Achilles and Obsidian are a good cigar. It's hard to say which is better,,,leave that up to your own taste buds.

I thought you asked about seconds for a reason? That what you said when a fellow member tried to help you out.

Agreed. What turned me off was the rude response to a BOTL trying to help.
