Illusione Cuchillos Cubanos 46

(Sorry I don't have any pics, I hadn't planned to do a review but this thing was just so good that I had to let you guys know.)

Okay folks...yesterday I had my first Illusione Cuchillos Cubanos 46. For those who are unfamiliar, these are the new 60/40 (long/medium) mixed-filler cigars from Dion. They come in 4 sizes and are packaged in paper boxes of 5. I got mine at New Havana Cigars - the Online Humidor and that's a great place to check out more info if you want. The one I smoked was the "46," which is esentially a petite corona.

Mini Review:
HOLY CRAP! I cannot believe this cigar cost only $3.60...it tasted like it could have cost twice that. Same dark, rich flavor as you'd expect from an Illusione, just less strength. Some people claimed this was medium body, but it was full to my palate--just medium in strength (i.e. nicotine).

I've only smoked 2 regular Illusione cigars, but this definately tasted like an Illusione to me, but was not as smooth. The only negative was that it got a bit harsh just past the 1/2 way mark. I slowed down, then purged, then nubbed it. So I think these need a couple months to loose that slight harshness. But dang...these have to be some of the best bang-for-your-buck cigars out there right now. As soon as I determine my favorite vitola(s) I'm going to by a bunch and put them down for a while.

For a comparison: I like the Tatuaje Series P, but I'd give the nod to the Cuchillos Cubanos any day!

Seriously, guys, go try these!

Just tried one and agree 100% percent with your review, including some harshness at the midpoint.

Mine started out with a very tight draw which loosened up to a very good draw as it went on. Rich flavor attacks the mouth and was able to pick up a leathery finish. These pups need some rest and they will be much better.
