Appearance/Presentation:
Nice looking maduro, oily wrapper with a few veins. Nice looking cap. The band said Maduro Especial, dunno if this means anything. The vitola was very impressive, it just looked like a log.

Lighting/Burning
Initial light was nice and even, and the burn was even fot the most part. No re-lighting, nice white ash, and it burned pretty quick.

Construction:
The draw was pretty good, alittle resistance but not too much. Draw remained good throughout. The wrapper was well put together and stayed on well throughout. No soft or hard spots, and a very nice cap const.

Taste:
Very smooth taste and the flavors were dynamic throughout. Leathery, earthy, chocolatey hints that all just really flowed and melted in your mouth. Got a nice dark chocolate at 1/2, nice heavy flavor.

Overview:
This was a nice special-occasion smoke, not something i would want every day. The flavors were nice and heavy and the varying flavors really melded well together. Just about worth MSRP, I'll probably end up picking up a few to have on hand for special occasions.

That is one big cigar! I had the figurado awhile back and did a review on it. I caught some of the flavors you did. It is just an all around excellent cigar. I have a few more waiting in the humi that probably wont last the summer. Excellent review like always.

Nice review! I think if you look again you'll find that the band says "Liga Especial," not maduro...the maduro was only made in one size, a torpedo. Great cigar, regardless.
