Camacho 10th Anniversary Corojo 11/18

I have drunk the Camacho Kool-Aid, and it is good.

This evening I took a nice bike ride on a local trail which runs through the woods. There was some creek fording involved, on a road bike.

Upon my return, I decided to enjoy the Camacho 10th Anniversary 11/18, which I received in a bomb from Acesfull, and had been resting in my desktop humidor at a perfectly regulated 65% humidity for approximately 2.5 hours. The cigar has an interesting shape, it is thicker in the middle and tapers as it approaches the head and foot.

I set out on the porch, accompanied by a nice tall glass of Fresca, which as luck would have it goes great with cigars.

The cigar has a soft medium-brown wrapper with a light box-press, and smells great.

I like the band, and the fact that it has a matte finish rather than glossy.

After lighting, I am greeted with a nice, smooth, creamy nuttiness, and a sort of dry, raisiny flavor. It was great - today was fairly humid and non-windy, so the smoke would just lazily drift away, leaving a very nice aroma. It had that great Camacho draw.

About an inch in, I notice a slight (ever so slight) spice coming in, but it never gets more than that. It also gets a hint of leather, and some taste which I was trying to put my finger on, which to me tasted something like fennel. This flavor stayed with the cigar with a bit, and mixed well with the raisiny flavor and nuttiness. And Fresca.

Now, as for Christian Eiroa, that guy can roll, man. Cigar burned perfectly, and the ash just held on for dear life. At it's biggest it was slightly over 3 inches, which is more than half the cigar. I mean, I had to take the label off before even ashing it!

(Yes, that is Zubaz.)

Cigars aren't phallic. At all.

I took a lot of pictures. My heart was literally racing with the adrenaline. I was having trouble handling the pressure of wielding such a long ash.

Knowing Andy has a horizontal ash contest going, I broke out the ruler.

But it didn't last forever. All good things must come to an end.

All in all, this cigar was really enjoyable. It was complex, smooth, and had a great finish. I will definitely keep my eye out for these!

Oh, check out what drove by while I was smoking!

Glad you enjoyed it... it was resting at a nice 65% in my humi for at least 3 months as well. I love those cigars and my favorite vitola in that blend!

Wow, great review and amazing pictures! What an ash! Very impressive.

I have yet to smoke a Camacho, not sure why other than they are harder to find cheap that many other good cigars. I might have to pick one of these up.

How does this 10th Anni compare to the regular Camacho Corojo line?
