Don Kiki Brown Label Botella

Cigar: Don Kiki Brown Label Botella
Cutter: Xikar
Lighter: Ronson Jet-Lite
Beverage: Coke Zero

Pre-cut: Dark ,mottled wrapper. Definitly not the prettiest cigar ever made. The Botella does have a unique shape though.
Pre-light draw is faint tobacco and not much else.

1/3: Tobacco is the primary taste here with just a bit of an earthy nuance on the finish. Ash is loose and the tip fell off almost immediately.

2/3: Well I am in the center of the "hump" now and I must say that there is not a whole lot going on at this point. Just a faint hint of Nicaraguan spice. Draw is starting to tighten up a bit. It should get better as I get past the "hump".

Final Third: Flavor is turning harsh. Quick purge and it settles back down into just tobacco. The draw is starting to get even tighter to the point of where I am not getting much smoke. Very little in the way of flavors except for the slight spice mingled with the plain tobacco taste.

Overall this was not the best example of this cigar. I have smoked quite a few of these and they are hit & miss. This one was definitly a miss. While it was not unpleasant there just was not anything going on flavor wise. Not a big loss at the price point but I haye wasting 50 minutes on a bland cigar.

Re: Don Kiki Brown Label Botella

I was gifted a Don Kiki torp a while back when I first got into cigars, and I didn't think it was that bad.

But it DID burn to all hell.

Donnie, how old were they? I've got a box from 06 that have a nice nuance of dark coco and spice and even the burn's not bad when they have some age on em.

I've had the churchill of this and wasn't too impressed with it either. Very bland, just as you mentioned

Re: Don Kiki Brown Label Botella

Sorry to hear you didn't like it ... the brown label figurado is one of my favorite quick smokes.

The box I'm working on was bought less than 6 months ago, and they were smoking well ROTT. Nothing complex, but plenty of flavor
