Cabaiguan Petit

Cigar: Cabaiguan Petit
Year: 2008
Cutter: Xikar
Lighter: Ronson Jet-Lite
Beverage: Water w/lemon

Pre-cut: Nice light brown wrapper. No large veins or lumps. Nicely applied triple cap. Pre - light draw has a bit of a floral hint with a faint peppery spice.

1st third: A little pepper on the light with some woodsy, floral notes. Very creamy smoke and smooth on the nose exhale. Draw is perfect with plumes of white smoke. Ash is a little weak but this could be due to the small RG.

2nd third: Spice has picked up a little bit. Wood notes are still in the background. The finish is very nice and sort of sweet. Burn is still razor sharp.

Final third: Has settled down a little now and the wood and floral notes are the dominate flavors. Still a hint of spice on the nose exhale but it is very faint.

Overall this cigar is an excellent example of the Pepin Garcia family at it's finest. With the Cabaiguan they have definitly proven that they are not all pepper and spice. There are several flavor changes for such a small cigar.

Re: Cabaiguan Petit

Thanks for the review! The petit is very good but I prefer the larger Cabaiguans for flavor.

Re: Cabaiguan Petit

I love the Cab but haven't tried the Petite. I'll have to give it a try, and if I like it snag a bunch before winter!
