Taboo Limited Reserve La Habana Robusto [Do-Over] Review

I found out that the first one I reviewed was not the cigar I thought it was. Soooo.....

I smoked this one on a nice hot afternoon last week while waiting for the temperature to reach its peak so I could mow the lawn with maximum perspiration. Ya gotta make it look like you're workin'!

The wrapper was a very dark shade of EMS, smooth with no prominent viens.

Pre-light scent of chocolate-pecan pie. Whaaa...? Yes, I swear.

Draw was firm.

When I fired her up I was hit with a sudden burst of chocolate! Then it immediately went into rich, leathery, earthy mode.
After about an inch and a half this cigar took on a full wood and nutty character.
Last third: a rich oakiness with an underlying hint of cocao.

The burn was good, even, slow and cool.

Strength: Medium to full.

I smoked this while drinking a cup of Smoky Rose Tea, which is a blend I created when we served British-style Afternoon Tea at our restaurant. Amazingly, the tea complimented the cigar and the cigar made the tea taste sweet and carameley. Almost like a fine Anejo Tequila. As I said, amazing.

Overall I enjoyed this cigar immensely and I will definitely order more. You should try one if you have not already.
