CAO Italia Review
Size/Strength: 6 x 50
med - Full cigar Wrapper: Honduran Filler: Nicaraguan, Peru, Italian Binder: Honduran CAO Italia Review The CAO Italia has a dark oily wrapper and looked nice, with small to mid sized veins on it. It smelled of strong tobacco, wood and earth. The CAO Italia cigar was jammed packed with tobacco nice and firm. The foot smelled of earth, wood, and had a sweet smell. The pre-light draw was a little tight, and had notes of wood, earth, and sweetness. CAO Italia Fire-up the tobacco, wood and earth smell stood true, with a mild spice and a hint of coffee. 1/2 way through the CAO Italia spice picked up a bit to a mild- medium spice and the CAO Italia had a bold flavor for a med-full cigar 3/4 into the CAO Italia I had a tar build up problem that would not go away The tar build up problem really frustrated me, the tar buildup made the cigar to bitter and I had to but the thing down

Re: CAO Italia Review
Thanks for the review Bill and for the comments Dale. I was just looking at ordering a box of Italia's from Atlantic. Mental note, do not order the Robusto.
Anyone else have issue's with tar buildup on any other vitolas? |

Re: CAO Italia Review
Just at the local b&m today man
I really want to try an Italia but I dont know if I can pay 8 bucks yet for a cigar with my budget. Need to pay for gas to go to school lol and hot pockets. I'll get one sometime though. Italian pride makes me want to get one. |

Re: CAO Italia Review
Nice job, it's one of my 5 go to smokes now.
I have had a few get thick on the end, I have had some down for 6 months now and they seem to smoke a lot better. Vinnie |

Re: CAO Italia Review
Great pics Bill, I never had tar build up with this cigar but have on some other brands. I also get a great tobacco flavor from this cigar.

Re: CAO Italia Review
CAO look for tobaccos from fields high in magnesium and manganase. This is what produces the white ash on many of their smokes.
For my BOTLs experiencing "tar buildup", you can't have it both ways! You can't have a strong, full-flavored cigar, without the presence of tars. Learn "the art of the subtle, occasional purge": Once you get beyond half-way back, blow out through the cigar, GENTLY, once or twice after every third or fourth tug series. Trust me, it makes ALL the difference. La mia bella sigare 'e CAO Italia e Brazilia
