AVO Domaine 10

Cigar: AVO Domaine 10
Year: 2007
Cutter: Xikar
Lighter: Ronson Jet-Lite
Beverage: Coke Zero

Pre-cut: Very nice looking cigar with a lush, tan colored wrapper. Pre - light draw is very loose, it offers absolutely no resistance. Slight taste of hay and just a bit of sweetness.

1st third: Cigar tastes a little bland and the draw is way too loose. Very easy to nose exhale as it is way on the mild side. This is my first one of these even though I have had a few in the cooler for a couple of years now. I am hoping it will get a lot better.

2nd third: Getting a charred taste now. Not much to speak on flavor wise besides this awful taste. If I was not doing a review for you guys I would not even bother finishing it.

Final third: The charred taste has dissipated a good bit but the cigar is like smoking a macanudo(or an Illusione), in other words, pretty much no taste at all. I think I will just let this one die a lonely death.

Overall this cigar was ot very good at all. It was tasteless pretty much throughout and when it did produce some flavors it was a charred taste. I have a couple more of these so I am hoping I just got a bad one this time.

Thanks for the review. I am having the same view of my sol cubano artisan that I am smoking right now. Almost tasteless and no dimension.

That stinks, especially when you are looking forward to a great cigar

Thanks for the review, I have been wondering about these, being as AVOs are supposedly very mild (not really my thing) yet these are touted as their "medium full" stick.

Re: AVO Domaine 10

I have had several AVO's and IMHO they are light cigars that you smoke while outside in the hot sun BBQing or in the morning after breakfast. They aren't a multidimensional cigar but good enough to smoke.

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. About the only thing this thing has going for it is the sweet cedar flavor I got out of it after a few days in a new humi. Other than that, its a cheap little thing that a small handful of people like and I don't mind buying, especially when one of the smokers is a women who will hand me a nice fat Cohiba from her husbands humi every now and then.

Re: AVO Domaine 10

Another review that nails it. I have tried this cigar 3 times and it just doesn't smoke very well for me. It smokes like a really mild cigar with the taste of hay as you said. I thought the first one was a fluke but the other two that followed were smoked a few weeks later and it was basically the same. I guess when your tastes run with full bodied cigars anything less is going to smoke and taste like paper towels rolled in dried leaves. I have one more of these and think I will just save it for when I do my yard.
