Thanks for the review.
Actually Greg, don't let my review sway you. Most people like these but they just don't do it for me. Maybe try a fiver before you take the plunge on a box.

The Belicoso is my favorite size of them all. What a bummer!

I have a big Solomon waiting for me

That is the great thing about this, different tastes. One persons dislike is anothers favorite. I personally love the "v" series.

Re: Oliva Serie V Belicosos

I'll have to agree with the belicoso is the flattest of the line... my fav so far is the Special V figurado, its a powerhouse from the start to the nub.. had one yesterday that made me about have to change my pants. Just got my box of lanceros in today, i'll try to let them rest a few weeks before digging in...

Just wanted to add to what Donnie said in his newer post about trying 5 paks of cigars. I have been doing this for the last 4 years and it has kept me from purchasing cigars that were marginal. I buy a 5 pak and try the first cigar after a couple of weeks and then again in another month and again after another month just to compare it over a period of time to give it a chance. If I still like the cigar I put the band in a cup I save for those cigars I know I would like to buy a box of at the price point I am willing to wait for. If it is a decent cigar I will end up buying another 5 pak at some point and that band goes into another cup. For those cigars I like but don't really pull my trigger I just toss the band and forget about it.

It is amazing what cigar tastes are like between people,,,doesn't make it a bad thing as much as a cigar is what YOU enjoy,,,not what others tell you that you should smoke.

Re: Oliva Serie V Belicosos

Nice review, I get more flavor then you described but as you said it is a matter of opinion. Personally I like the Churchill the best in this line with the figurado a close second. The lancero is third followed by the Beli.

Re: Oliva Serie V Belicosos

Finally smoked a lancero last night.. I'd put it 3rd best vitola in this line...
1. Figurado
2. Torpedo
3. Lancero

But for the price I got them on cigarmonster.com they were the best value.. scored the box of 36 for $110 shipped
