Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
This well-made medium brown log had 2006 on the band. I got it for about $2 from cbid. I clipped the point at about 1/2" and found a nice easy prelight draw to go along with the good looking wrapper. It lit and burned well, until the last half canoe. This was a VERY MILD body cigar and the flavor was basically tasteless tobacco. Dunno, maybe it was aged too long before being shipped. It has been in my humi 2 months. Volume of smoke was medium to low. I would not buy it again even for $1 since there are so many other good stix out there to really enjoy. I rate it AVOID.

Re: Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
Yeah these were supose to be "great", but I haven't read a good review on these. You see their retail price at like $10.00 to $15.00 each, but they always sell em for around $2.00 each now.

Different strokes ...
I've had some with burn issues, but the ones that burned well I really liked. There's a ton of good reviews on these ... I think they are called "Obsidians" or something lke that? |

I'm confused now ... that's the obsidian in the picture right? That's NOT the cigar you reviewed? Anyway, yes, the cigar in the pic is the one I like. Probably have 3-4 more in the humi |

Re: Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
Right. The previous pic was the Obsidian which you like. And many others like too. I haven't tried one yet.
This is the one I tried, and I recommend avoiding: http://img.cigar.com/p/300/cs/y/cs-ynb.jpg |

Re: Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
I have tried this cigar,,,at best it's a $2 cigar and good when you do yard work,,,too mild for my tastes anyway. But don't let that sway anyone from testing it for yourself,,,I just am partial to full bodied maduro cigars.

Re: Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
I pretty much love anything I've tried fromPadilla, the 1932, 1968, Miami, Habano, Obsidian. The only one so far that I can take or leave is the 1948(? or is it 46?).
Had a 32 Rubosto last night that smoked like a dream ![]() So I'll keep an open mind on this stick, I just won't save it for a special occasion ![]() Steve |

Re: Padilla Edition Especial Achilles Torpedo Review
I just smoked another one of these from the same batch. It has had about another month of humi time on it, and I must say it has improved noticeably. Still basically the same cigar, but smoother. But I would still say don't bother chasing it down...and don't pay over $2 for it.
