Reposado '96 Habano

First Review, so here goes.

Cigar: Reposado '96 Habano (7.1 x 58 Salomon)

Light - Sour-Salty flavor.

First Quarter - Having trouble describing it. Kind of a vegetal herbs/capers/rosemary/dill flavor.

On the transition out of the first quarter and into the second quarter I got a bit of a nutty tone in the flavor.

Second Quarter - Peppery flavor, still retained the capers/herbs/rosemary flavor.

My thoughts at this point were that it would pair well with herb grilled or sautéed seafood. At this point I remembered that I still had a couple fingers worth of Bowmore Single Malt in my decanter; so I pored it into a rocks glass, and dropped in a couple ice cubes to swim in & cool off the spirits.

Third Quarter - Peppery with the same capers/herbs/rosemary flavor on the draw, but also had a bit of dark chocolate aftertaste.

Right around the 2/3 mark I got a flavor mix of pepper, walnuts, and spices.

The 3rd quarter then continued with the pepper & capers flavor.

The final quarter had a peppery draw with nutty aftertaste.

The finish was straight pepper.

Overall this was a good cigar, but the flavor profile isn't so much to my liking. The draw was good, and the smoke volume was decent. There was a cold spot in the first quarter, but it self corrected. From there out it held a good, tight, white grey ash.

So there it is, my first review.

Glad you folks liked the review. I think I need to be here for a few more days before I can post pics. After that I'll take a few pics of another one that's in the Humi.
