El Triunfador Review

Wrapper:
Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler:
Nicaraguan
Shape: Lancero
Size: 7.5 X 38
Draw: Perfect
Burn: Perfect
Construction: Superb

The El Triunfador is one of the newer cigars by Pete Johnson, owner of the Tatuaje brand. This cigar is extremely limited.

The first 1/3 is medium-bodied with a milky flavor with some white pepper.

The second 1/3, still medium-bodied, was a bit woody with a hint of cream.

The last 1/3 again, was medium-bodied, but more intense in white pepper making your entire mouth tingle!

The last 1 1/2" was very grassy and bitter.

Pete, if you are reading this, put a Corojo wrapper on it!

Overall, it's a good stick, but not flavorful and strong enough for my taste.

Price: $10.50

Re: El Triunfador Review

Very nice review. This would be interesting with a corojo wrapper

Re: El Triunfador Review

Thanks for the review!

I'm told these get better with age. I've only had one, and I agree that there wasn't quite enough flavor in the first half of the stick.

As far as getting a corojo wrapper...not going to happen. This cigar is simply a Cabaiguan Maduro in a lancero shape...so you can get this cigar in other vitolas in maduro, connecticut, or sungrown, but not corojo (though it would be fun to try that!).

Re: El Triunfador Review

Another solid review Dave. Something tells me that you could smoke a "flare" and even that wouldn't be strong enough for you. lol

I'd pay to see David with a flare in his mouth in the next eherf.
