Indian Tabac Maduro
Guys I have been trying to do a review a week. Let me know if you enjoy reading them. I will take any suggestions that you have. (too long, too short, you suck)
I am watching the truck race hoping to win the contest. Thought it would be a good time to do this weeks Cigar- Indian Tabac Maduro Tomahawk (6x52 box press) Cutter- Mean Sardine Lighter- Nibo Cheapo Drink- Lemon Water Pre Light- The cigar is a Box Pressed dark maduro. A few visible veins but nothing huge. The smell is sweet as most maduros are. The construction is solid, the only flaw I can see is the wapper varies a little in color. Pre Light draw taste like it smells sweet tobacco. The draw is very easy. Initial Light- The first draw produces a little spice and a lot of strength. This is def a full bodied stick. Getting a toast like finish. It has a very unigue taste. 1st third- This thing is STOUT. The toasty flavor continues, Kinda reminds me of burnt toast very prominent flavor. At about a half inch in the spice picks up. At about an inch in the burn is a little uneven, no biggie though. The cigar is strong, so strong that i think my heart rate is speeding up lol. Around a inch and a half the strength begins to calm a little but the spice is picking up. The burnt taste is still there but I am also getting the sweet maduro flavors that I expected. At two inches It has really mellowed out. I am still getting a little spicyness but nothing over powering. The ash fell at two inches 2nd third- Since the ash fell I took this time to fix the burn. There is a hint of the charred leather now. The finish is still the burnt toast flavor. It has mellowed out nicely. i would say it is on the light side of strong. The leather has picked up and the spice is still ther. Almost like eating black pepper. Not overpowering just very peppery. I am getting ready to start the final third. The cigar is good but not great. I like the flavor but there is not much complexity to it Final third- With about two inches left the burn has evened out nicely. The charred leather taste is the most prominent. The smoke is a little creamer now. With about an inch and a half left I got a huge shot of pepper, so big that it took me by suprise. It tooka couple big gulps of the water to recover. The spice again lightens up but still lingers on the palet. The ash is still going strong. The flavor has swithced to a burnt wood taste. Reminds me of the smell of a fieplace. The final stretch- The ash is still going strong. That speaks for the construction of this thing. With about an inch left the ash fell. I got this one down to about a half inch before I laid it down. It finished with the same charred leather taste. Overall- This was a good but not great cigar. I liked the flavor but it didn't change much which got old. This was a gift and although I would probably not buy this cigar I wouldn't turn a free one down. If you are looking for a spicy full bodied cigar this is it. Hope you guys have enjoyed the review. If you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to tell me. |

Re: Indian Tabac Maduro
Nice review. I agree this is pretty much an average cigar but you can get them pretty cheap. I like to smoke them while cutting the grass. They don't require much attention and they don't taste like crap!

Re: Indian Tabac Maduro
I think youre pretty spot-on. Nice review. My one and only experience was somewhat different however. I got mine from Rev2010. From everything I'd heard and read, I expected it to be mild and suck. It wasn't and it didnt. My surprize fueled the flames of enjoyment. I liked it. It didn't wow me, but it was a very enjoyable smoke.
