Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Maduro
Here is my weekly review. Let's here what you think
Cigar-Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Maduro Super Toro Gorilla Maduro (6x5 Cutter- Mean Sardine Lighter- Jet Lite Drink- Coke Zero Pre Light- This is one huge cigar. The wrapper is one of the darkest I've seen, with no large veins at all. It is very heavy for it's size. This is one of the best looking cigars I've seen in a while. The pre light draw is somewhat tight but not too tight. It has the tradionial Maduro sweet tatse. Initial Light- After an extra long toast to take care of this massive ring gauge, I took my first draw. Lots of sweet earthy flavors fill my palet. The smoke seems somwhat creamy. Not a lot of smoke coming through. Which to me is a negative. 1st third- The earthy flavor continues through the first few draws. There is a little spice in the bcak of the throat. No real flavor on the finish. There is a slight hint of cedar with each draw. I can tell this one is gonna test my palet as I am having trouble describing the flavors. So please bear with me on this one as I fumble through it. There is a really unique flavor that I like coming through. The stick is pretty mild, maybe on the medium side of it. There is a strange flavor coming through now. Not sure what it is, maybe some sort of fruit but not sweet. The ash is very firm, and the draw is easier now. With a little more smoke coming through. The burn is a little uneven, but no worse than most big ring gauge stick. About an inch in, the flavor begins to change. The spice picks up a bit, and the cedar is much more previlent. The stick is very creamy. As I approach the second third the cigar is finally putting out a good amount of smoke. 2nd third- This stick is starting to pick up a little in body, it is becoming a solid medium body stick. It has not changed much as far as flavor goes. Lots of cedar, and that elusive unsweet fruit taste (I must sound crazy saying that). About half way through this thing I must say even though it is VERY plain I am enjoying it. The flavor hasn't changed a lot but they are enjoyable. The construction of this thing is amazing. The burn has been great for a large rig gauge stick, and the ash is one of the more solid I've seen. As I begin to approach the final third of it, it there is a slight hint of cocoa on the short finish. Final third- The cocoa is still there, and the stick is becoming very toasty. It is becoming a little more full bodied now. There is a good amount of spice now. The cedar is totally gone, and there is a slight earhty flavor mingling in with the cocoa. This is def the best part of this cigar. I find myself wishing there was a couple more inches left in this thing. The stick has a lot of Cocoa, with hints of coffee. The toastiness of this thing is great. As I approach the final stretch (last inch) I am hating to see this one end. Final stretch- This stick is still going strong. There is spice, cocoa, coffee, and just pure sweet Maduro flavor. As my fingers begin to burn I finally decide to put it down. Overall- This was an odd stick. I usually find that i like the middle third of a cigar the best, but this one really didn't pick up until the final third. I really did like this stick. It was a little one dimensional for the first 2/3rds but they were good flavors. I will revisit this bad boy again. It is one of those sticks that you lay down wanting to light another. Thanks to Commonsenseman for this bad boy. |

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Maduro
Great review. I bought a box a year or so ago and am about 1/2 way through. They're really a "decent" cigar. I don't wanna get rid of them, but I don't want one everyday. They're a step-up from a yard 'gar for sure. Famous has the for <$60 a box so they're a great deal.
