My Father No. 2 by J. Garcia Review
Size- Belicoso (5.5x52)
Wrapper - Ecuadorian Habano Price - $11.10 Beautiful looking cigar in a perfect Belicoso shape. The wrapper is dark brown with oils. There is one prominent vein running the length of the wrapper. The band is very attractive and compliments the cigar. Its pink green and gold with a calligraphy MF underscored by Garcia and Garcia. The aroma is barnyard reminiscent of habanos. Firm uniform roll throughout the length of the cigar. Prelight draw provides a sweet tobacco taste Initial draw gives a leathery flavor with twang!! and underlying pepper. Wow, this is just like a habano (if only it stays this way). Draw is good and smoke volume is acceptable but could be better. The smoke isn’t thick and coating. The flavor settled down and the twang faded, but remained present in the background, but ever so slightly. The cigar is burning straight and producing a solid med gray ash with brown tints. The finish is clean with a lingering spice and cedar flavor. This is an excellent smoke, but its not worth the price. The Cabaiguan is cheaper and just as good. A solid medium bodied, medium strength smoke.
