Padron Family Reserve No. 45 Maduro ( this one is for you MADUROLOVER)

First of all this stick is WAY WAY WAY out of my normal price range. A certian mod gifted me this stick. First of all if you haven't seen this thing check it out.

Padron Family Reserve No. 45 Maduro- (or, Padron 45th Maddie for short..or, just "The Hammer" if you prefer). - Home - The Smoking Stogie-Reviews of Hard to Find, Ultra Limted and Extremely Expensive Cigars

Cigar- Padron Family Reserve No. 45 Maduro (6x52 box press)
Cutter- Stainless steel Double Bladed
Lighter- Actually used matches
Drink -Coke Zero

Pre light- I can say nothing more than this is the most beautiful stick I have ever seen. The construction is flawless. The smell is of sweet cedar. The prelight draw is perfect.

Initial Light- The initial draw gives me a lot of pure sweet tobacco. With hints of cocoa. The burn is perfect.

1st Third- This thing is giving me an amazing amount of smoke. I am getting a little pepper on the lips. The stick is giving of f lots of the traditional maduro sweetness. As I approach the first half inch the cigar gives some coffee undertones with some slight hints of chocolate. There is a hint of cedar left when I nose exhale. At a little over an inch, this thing is amazing. I am getting cocoa, cedar, coffee, and a great creamie texture. The ash is going strong and the burn is amazingly straight. Approaching the second third and the stick is still going strong.

2nd Third- As i began to type second third the ash fell off, and I got the good ole sizzle on the chest. The cigar is very creamy with a lot of coffee. The chocolate is still there but it seems very bitter now almost like an unsweetened cocoa. The sweetness has gone now, and there is a bitterness now that I have to say i am enjoying. About half way through the seconfd third the creaminess increases and the sweeetness creaps back in. There is a bit of toastiness coming in on the nose exhale now with just the slightest hint of spice left in the nostrils.

Final Third- The cigar is picking up in strength now. I am beginning to feel it in the throat. The amount of smoke from this thing is amazing. The cocoa is the major flavor now with the coffee still there in the background. The cedar is there also, but just enough to notice it. The burn is perfect and the second ash is still there. As I approach the final stretch the stick is still as smooth as the first draw. No harshness at all.

Final Stretch- Lots of coffee now, taste very close to dark roast coffee. With a slight tingle on the lips from the nicotine. I smoked this one to the nub.

Overall- This was one amazing smoke!!!!! It was the most complex stick i have had so far. Lost of different flavor mingling together. The negative on this is probably obvious, at 21 bucks a stick it would be hard to smoke this on any regular basis. If I had a special occassion I would def pick this up again.

Oh Yeah i almost forgot- THANKS DONNIE

Glad to see you enjoyed it brother! And I am also glad to see that you didn't try to save it for a "special occasion"!

Oh yeah, I am sorry about the huge shove down the slope I gave you (well not really sorry)

They have some at my B&M but I didn't bother to eye the price because I knew it would be more than I wanted to pay...great review though, makes me mighty tempted to buy one despite the price!

Re: Padron Family Reserve No. 45 Maduro ( this one is for you MADUROLOVER)

A little background on this cigar... I was informed today that they have been out for a few years now. However, before recently you were only "allowed the privilege" to buy ONE if you bought a box of Pardon Anni's first.

Re: Padron Family Reserve No. 45 Maduro ( this one is for you MADUROLOVER)

I enjoyed this cigar quite a bit, but I will stick to my Illusione CG4 and Padron Aniversarios 1964 for 10.00 for churchill. It was a good cigar, but i would rather have an illusione and PA1964 churchill.
