Cusano 18 year maduro robusto
One thing right off the bat...WOW!
I can't recall where I got this but I think it was from a sampler. If it's the one think it is then it's been resting for about 2 months.
Pre-light draw is perfect, not to tight and not too loose. Good tobacco flavor.
Toasted the foot, waited a few more seconds and lit it up. Lots of smoke right off the bat. Good tobacco sweetness coming through withing the first inch and then a gradual peppery feeling. First "real" 1/3 was very strong but smooth, alternating with a peppery sweetness, but not too sweet.
Second 1/3 added hints of cedar and leather. Still had the peppery sweetness with it but the aromas blended well. Lots of smoke still.
Last 1/3 brought a big hit of pepper and even more body. I wouldn't say strong but then there's not too many cigars that have the amount of nicotine to do that (copenhagen chewer for 20+ years).
Lots of smoke throught the whole cigar. I liked it so much I darn near burned my fingers.
Only had to touch it up once, other than that one time burn rate was right on.
I will definately smoke one of these again.
I noticed that CI is sold out on the boxes and I can see why.
