Davidoff Colorado Claro Special R
I was at my B&M Barclay Rex and they had a special today where you buy one Davidoff Cigar and get one free. Normally I never look at their cigars because they are too expensive and I heard they are too mild, but i figured if anytime to try them today would be the day and I am glad. I bought this cigar and got the Special R for free for $19 total. The guy was telling me one of these is limited edition and once they are gone they are gone I forgot which one now I lost track after I put them in bag so beats me.
Here is review of the Colorado Claro that I smoked last night:
Drink: water
Size: Robusto
Construction: excellent what a beautiful cigar so great looking you do not want to light it up
First Third - at first I thought I got a plugged cigar and then I realized I did not light it all the way because hardly any smoke was coming out, so I took out my torch lighter gave it a little more and bam, tons of smoke from every draw. Initial flavors was mostly earthy woods and tobacco, but great tobacco flavor, and very smooth. I can tell right away I was going to be enjoying this cigar.
Second Third - The flavors changed and it had this very interesting unique flavor that I cannot identify, I am almost going to say a fruity/floral flavor but not sweet on top of tobacco, it was very interesting.
Last Third - This was the most interesting part I got some mocha, some woods, that fruity/floral, some spice and tobacco, but not all at once I got them in different puffs, it was very interesting.
I am going to say this is a medium-full by the time you get to the end cigar, I did smoke it on an empty stomach and by the time I finished it I was feeling it a little bit.
I really enjoyed it, it was extremely smooth, and just a beautiful great cigar, but I would not buy it regularly. I am glad I stopped in and got to try a Davidoff it was definitely a fantastic experience and still have the Special R to try.
