Nica Libre Principe

Hey everyone! Well, after staying up all night busy doing this:

and going to the dentist to have my gums brutally raped with a scraper. ( saw this on the way and did a double take).....

I decided to sit down for a smoke. I bought a 5-ver of these off of C-Bid for 11 bucks! They came to me a tad over-humidifed so I let them rest for 2 weeks. I took a seat outside, made some hot-chocolate and began.

The principe is a good short 30-45 minute smoke at 4.5 X 46. Many people have compared the taste of the Nica Libre's to Padron. I have yet to try a Padron so I really can't comment on that. The cigar started off fairly mild. There were hints of cocoa and cream, with a slight spice left on the palette.

As you can see the burn started to become a little un-even. So I gave it a good touch up.

A little less than halfway into the cigar the cream became much more sweeter, giving off a strong caramel taste that was dominant throughout the second half. This really went great with the hot-chocolate. The spice mellowed down a lot, but really added to the complexity of the flavor.

The cigar remained smooth and sweet down to the end. It required a few small touch ups here and there, but for the price it can't be beat. This is a great short smoke, that would go good with your morning coffee, hot chocolate, etc.

Well, hope you guy's found this a little useful. Have a good day
everyone!

Great story & review!

I'm officially jealous of both the Sam Adams & the COD!

BTW how is the new COD?

Haha, I'm cracking up over that license plate.

Have you ever had Honey Moon Summer Ale by Blue Moon? If you can find it, you should try it sometime. It's a great brew.

Thanks man!

The game is pretty insane, and I'm not even that big on video games. I was out waiting with my little brother at midnight and decided to pick myself up a copy.

Re: Nica Libre Principe

Nice review. I have a box of those that I bought on special a few months back. I buried them, unopened, in the bottom of my humidor to save for the cooler weather when I want a shorter smoke. After reading your review I think I might just dig one out to have with the morning coffee tomorrow.

Re: Nica Libre Principe

That's a good-news review for sure (except for the dentist part). I'm pretty new and this is the kind of smoke I like so I may have to give them a shot. Thanks.

Great review! I'm always on the lookout for an early-day smoke. As much as I love my Gurkhas, I just can't smoke them all the time.
