Padron 3000 Maduro Review

I know this stick is a fav of many BOTL/SOTL's, so I decided to pick up a few of both the natural and maduro wrappers.

I bought these over Memorial weekend and smoked a natural 3000 that night. It was a great overall experience, and would definitely enjoy it again. The first maduro I smoked on the golf course and was very unimpressed. It was super spicey, and way too harsh on me. I don't know what was up with that stick.

Of course, I have a few more in my humi, so I decided to give it some time and try it again today. Today's experience was much smoother. Smooth draw, was peppery for the first 4-5 puffs, and then smoothed out to a nice med-med/full flavor. I have found Padrons to be a pretty unchanging flavor throughout the whole smoke. I guess that could be good or bad, depending on your preference. Ash lasted about 1.5 inches, then fell to the ground. I smoked this one all the way until the last inch of a nub. I still enjoy the natural wrapper better, but the maduro is a good "kick in the hootus".

Nice review Jimmy, been a go to smoke of mine for the last 2 or 3 years. I prefer the maduro. I enjoy the consistancy and count on them to be that way. Nice to have something you can count on. The Padron brand is that for me.

Yeah, I had a Maddie 3000 and didn't care for it too much. Too much of the same earthy flavour for me. Maybe I will like the Naturals better, or simply a smaller stick so I don't get sick of the flavour profile.

Tech- I really like the 2000's naturals. That may be more towards your style. I think the 2000 naturals are going to become well known in my humi.

Thanks for the recommendation They are cheap enough that I can buy a few and stick em in my humi without any regret. I'll definently pick up two or three soon.

Re: Padron 3000 Maduro

Thanks for the review. I totally agree that theses sticks tend to have a consistent taste throughout, but a good taste it is. I haven't had a #3000 yet, but I love the #2000. I think I have a 3000 though...oh wait, I do. You sent it to me! Don't I owe you some payback?

Be one the lookout next week!

LOL...That's right, I did send you a 3000! I bought like 8 3000's and sent one to you before I even tried one.

Re: Padron 3000 Maduro

The maduro's are good, but I still like the naturals as one of my everyday smokes. Nice review!
