Evolving Lead Puffer Fish
|
rjs and edisonbird have already reviewed this masterpiece from none other than JuanPyroTec. If I did the file attachment correctly you should see the picture I snapped before firing this baby up.
Construction: Hmmm, what to say? The wrapper was very wrinkly, and the cigar seemed to be bending at the waist, whatever that could possibly mean. Despite its slightly shriveled appearance, it was reasonably firm to the touch. There was an earthy pre-light aroma. Very enjoyable. Promised to be a tasty smoke. It cut cleanly. The pre-light draw was firm, but not too firm. Wayne will be pleased to hear this - the draw reminded me very much of a PI #4. I toasted the foot for a bit and then took my first puff. Flavor: Spice and earthiness, with a leathery aftertaste. Very enjoyable. Burn: For such a wrinkled, withered grandma of a stogie it burned slowly and evenly from start to finish. Never had to correct it. As it burned down, the spice and earthiness remained, but the leather notes gave way to cedar. Near the end, just before I burned my finger (no kidding!), the cedar flavor had pretty much taken over, but there still remained a hint of spice and leather. Thanks for the opportunity to sample this, Wayne. It was a good cigar. I'm sure the Butthiba line will improve as you continue to refine your technique. But, will you ever be able to repeat this blend of 10 tobaccos from 7 countries? |

Puffer Fish with many spikes

Oh geeeeze that was one of the real ugly ones!
I swear, I have had other cigars look just as good (almost) as your everyday cigars. I think I know the steps to take to correct the problem, but at this point, I won't take them. I kinda like them the way they are. The "ugly" gives a unique charater to the cigar. besides, then I would have to change the name and print new bands.OPT |

Sounds good bro, I thought maybe you fell over laughing and hit your head when you saw it.
BTW I was talking with Carlos of P.I. today, and one of the topics was rolling and how to apply wrappers. I am on the right track now. I need to revert to some old methods I was using, they seems to work better. OPT |
