Oliva "O" Maduro: Attention Maduro lovers!

First of all, I have to give a shout out to Fumioso for sending me this beauty in the newbie PIF, thanks a lot man. The appearance of this Nicaraguan puro is very dark, smooth, and a little oily. Pre-light smell? Oh yeah... pure barnyard. The pre-light draw actually reminded me of Red Man golden blend chew. Upon lighting, the stick burned very well and gave me no problems at all. The light gray ash stood about half way on this robusto size stick (Ole size 4.7x50). Draw was a little hard during the first 1/4 inch but became effortless throughout the rest of it, just like I like it. The flavor profiles changed a little from nutty to chocolately and slightly earthy. The strength was medium bodied and not harsh at all, IMO. The finish was great, very subtle and remindful of the great smoke I just had. This cigar went well with a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout and a clear South Texas night sky. I recommend this wonderful cigar to all fans of maduro wrappers and even those who are exploring new sticks. Puro Angler

I really enjoy Olivas though I have never had one in a Maduro. Sounds like another to add to my list!

I've smoked a hand-full of the Ole's madies and really liked them. I've smoked both the Oliva O nats and maduros and I much prefer the maduro.

A very good cigar in natural or maduro. I usually opt for the natural in these which is odd since I generally prefer maduro. The maduros I have had seemed a little less oily than the naturals.

This one of my fav's.
Mostly the Robusto and Torpedo.

Intention is buying a box the next time.
And that for 2 reasons, 1 the perfect cigar end 2 the box is nice also.

I have had a few of these in my humi for quite a while. I have tried to smoke one a couple of times and both were so tight on the draw that I put 'em back in the humi. Maybe it is time to try another.
BTW...the size was the Torpedo, and I have even tried to Draw Poker one with no luck

when you have trouble with the draw, just go back to your shop.
Normaly you would get new ones.

I didn't get them from a B&M, so I am not too worried about it. They were so cheap off Cbid that I will be happy if I can get one or two to smoke.
