I performed my cigar ritual: I made a pot of my fovourite coffee, turned on some tunes and sat out on the back porch to enjoy my smoke. Each line of Ashton I've had is fantastic in its own way. I've been impressed in the first 1 or 2 I smoked in each line but after them each line gets better and better, the Cabinet line follows. After the 2nd one I ordered a box. I took this stick out of the humi where I store my cigars naked at 67% RH, after only 4 days. The wrapper was exceptionally smooth with no veins worth mentioning, it was firm through out with no soft spots. I clipped it with my Xikar guillotine, per-draw was nutty and leathery but that was about to change. I toasted the foot a few seconds then took a few puffs forget the nut and leather the taste was a melody of woods hickory, pine and cedar with rich coffee in back ground, the strength of each wood taste varied the coffee taste faded in and out the whole stick. The burn started off uneven but corrected itself and burnt well, no hot spots, light firm grey ash, the draw was perfect. I would call it a mostly mild smoke.

Re: Ashton cabinet #6

it's been a while, but i have had either the No. 6 or No. 7 cabinet.

I remember it being a decent cigar. Everything about it was good except the taste and flavor of it. It was very mild. I will try one again, maybe revisit it if the price is right.
