AMBIENCE:
9:30AM Wednesday; warm & sunny, but only slightly humid.

BEVERAGE:
None.

APPEARANCE:
Lumpy veiny non-oily wrapper. The foot showed that the filler was very poorly rolled. I even took an extra picture so y'all could see what it looked like. There were several really soft spots on the cigar also.

PRE_LIGHT:
Smelled vaguely of cocoa, but not much scent at all.

DRAW:
Fair draw, but a bit too loose for my taste.

FIRST_THIRD:
Underlying taste was sort of cocoa, but a very bitter taste from the wrapper overwhelmed it completely. Doesn't taste good at all so far.

SECOND_THIRD:
Took the whole first third for the bitterness to fade out and some of the natural flavors came through at last. It was like cocoa and just a bit buttery, but sort of on the bland side.

FINAL_THIRD:
Stayed the same to the bitter end except for getting a bit harsh also.

BURN:
Rather uneven burn with a big canoe in the middle.

ASH:
White fluffy ash which blew all over the place.

SMOKE:
Lots of white smoke but almost tasteless.

STRENGTH:
Bitter turning mild turning harsh.

FLAVOUR:
Bitter cocoa? Is that a flavor?

FINISH:
None at all, fortunately.

SMOKE_TIME:
40 minutes, and I didn't finish it either.

IMPRESSION:
This looked like it was a "practice roll" by some beginner roller, not a finished product that I'd ever offer for sale.

RATING:
2 out of a possible TEN wooden matchsticks.

COMMENTS:
I really wonder where Thompson's gets these cigars from. Job lots bought on a dock in Singapore? I do *not* recommend smoking one of these, even if it were free. (The things I suffer to get good information to Club Stogie...)

If you noticed, I do space them out, only having one every two or three days. Besides, part of the deal was that I promised I'd review what people sent me...
