Cusano Corojo Vintange 1997 Review

It was a rare cool afternoon with a nice breeze. Kicked off work early around 2:00 and decided I would try this thing. I bought a fiver about 4 months ago. They are of the 5x50 robusto variety. All in all a decent smoke, construction was good and draw was perfect. Burn was amazing, razor sharp the whole way down not one touch up or slow spot. Flavor was good but nothing real exciting. Taste was very similar to most corojo cigars I have had. Mild with flavor building to the end. The only down side is the flavor. I am use to smoking more complex cigars with some or many different distinguishing flavors. The Cusano had none that I could put a finger on.
Probably will get a few more after these are gone. It is a good mild and light smoking cigar.

Yes, the 1997 Corojo by Cusano is a great mild smoke. More flavor than Macs or RyJ 1875s. I recommend them to friends who just started smoking. Nice flavor and great price. Definately a good morning to afternoon smoke.

Good review!

I had one yesterday at the local shop and I agree. It was a fantastic stick with lots of smoke. I didnt really find it that mild, but it was a great smoke that I had until I could feel it on my finger tips. I am looking forward to getting the new Cusano sampler that is coming out soon.

Have a great weekend everyone.

The 1997s are pretty good. I find them a bit harsh when young. For Cusano, I prefer the paired maduro (the 18 variety) - yum, yum, yum.

I just smoked one this evening and liked it a lot. It was the Robusto and was given to me by my local B&M. I found it to be medium bodied with a somewhat earthy flavor coupled with a little sweet spice. Near perfect burn, lots of smoke and 1:15 of smoking pleasure. I'm definitely going to pick up some more.

You sure your going to have room for them? You might want to use that 18 wheeler to store them.
