Well. I haven't had a Dark Sumatra in several months. I do enjoy the line very much, I have just been out trying different cigars. This is a classic maduro cigar, with a good tobacco flavor. For me, the difference between the two is that the 858 has more of a nutty flavor as mentioned in this review. As far as the spice of the two, they are about even imo. I am not great at picking out and naming flavor distinctions, but I would have to say that they have somewhat of a different flavor profile. I will have to smoke a HDM DS soon to see if my thoughts on the flavor have changed. Hope that makes sense!

The only way youll ever be able to truly guage these cigars is by trying them yourself. [its a great excuse to buy some good cigars basically]
