Instead of posting my own reviews, I am trying to add to other people's.

Here are my thoughts: RP must have some kind of magic going on in his factory because they have what I think is the best draw of any smoke I have tried. I had a Maduro Torp and a Maduro Toro at a B&M I frequent in Albuquerque and while I thought they would be stronger they have great flavor, pretty even burn and perfect draw. I personally believe that the reason that RP and Padron have such loyal followers is the consistent draw. The two RPs I had today were the only other RPs I have had except for a sun grown which I did not care for and the connecticut which is a little light for after lunch. These have definitely found a home in my humi...crap those are full...in my new coolerdor in my 40-year old coleman metal cooler. I can't believe it took me this long to figure this out. Oh well, I purchased 6 more on my way out.

Congratulations on your discovery Volfan! They are some damned fine cigars, and worth looking forward to.

i smoked one of these about 2 weeks ago sititng on my back porch.

What a great smoke, tons of smoke! A pretty big nic hit for me, i don't smoke a lot so this is subjective. Nice and spicy too! long aftertaste, actually i could still taste this bad boy in the morning. A long smoke too.

I finally tried the torp. and agree with the aftertaste comment. IMO the strength is not so much how much of a buzz it gave me but how much it tore my mouth up. Seriously, I had some ulcers or something in my mouth the next morning. The taste was OK. I liked the "light" a bit better. Maybe I am just a wimp.

I couldn't agree more. That honestly is the biggest selling point for me. Either right from the store or sitting in my humidor for, well lets be honest... they never seem to last in my humidor, they always draw incredibly. Aside from the great draw, there is incredible flavor in all RP cigars, even the Edge Lite as mild as it is has such flavor that it has now worked its way to be my early morning Golf smoke. The only problem with them is that they draw so damn good i tend to suck them down really fast. Have yet to try and olde world reserve. The shop I pick up my RPs from tends to be a bit pricy on newer/rarer stuff, but I know by the end of next week I'll have smoked 2 or 3. Who could blame me? I still haven't gotten a feel for whats the big NC cigar on the boards here, could be opus, could be VSG, ESG, but to be totally honest, I would guarantee that any RP cigar could hold its own.

Just my 2 cents.
