Padilla Special Edition Cedro Robusto Review

This little guy had only a couple of weeks humi time when I pulled it out this evening. With the hot Texas weather I have gone more with the mild to medium sticks lately. This one did not disappoint.

It provided well over an hour of enjoyment, with an excellent burn and draw and producing plenty of smoke. No touch ups or relights all the way to the nub. Body was just to the medium side of mild and the flavor was pleasantly light with a hint of cedar, consistent and never harsh or bitter.

It is 5 x 50 with Nic, Dom and Peruvian filler, nice looking Conn shade wrapper. First of a fiver from Cbid at about $2.00 per stick, an excellent value IMHO.

Re: Padilla Special Edition Cedro Robusto

Great pic!

I find these cigars to be a little too mild at first, but the flavors start to kick in about half way through the stick, as it begins to progressively burn hotter. If you are patient enough to nub it all the way to the fingers, you will be rewarded with a small punch of flavor at the very end.

My best experience with the Cedro was when I drank it with a glass of Glennfiddich Caoran Reserve; the subtle nutty flavors blend well with notes of peat in this single malt scotch.
