Question What bundle do you recommend???

Hello,
A Newbie here wanting to know what no name bundles of cigars you recommend.

In the past I have had bad luck on no names, but after finding this site, I can see why since they came from Thompson

I like maduro in 50 ring or larger and 5" or longer.

So you have a better idea of strength and type I prefer:
The best cigar that I have had was a Cuban Cohiba maduro when I was in Canada a couple years ago. I also had an A. Fuente Canone maduro last night that I really liked.

Thank you for any help you can offer.
And could you please include the website that has the bundle that you recommend?

Thanks again.

Cool Re: What bundle do you recommend???

Why go with no-name bundles when if what you seek is a 50rg Maduro why not try Padron's line up? I suggest the 3000 or 4000 for your smoking pleasure. Enjoy

I would recommend Nicaraguan Selection Sun Grown Maduro's from mrbundles.

Welcome to CS! And yes - you do need to get away from Thompsons!

My two personal favorites - actually the only two bundles I buy are:

Consuegra #84 - from JR Cigars

And Rocky Patel, Sungrown Seconds - from Famous Smoke

Not really no-names I guess - but they work for me in taste and value.

Personally, I love the Indian Tobac Super Fuertes and Rocky Patel Edge X-Outs; cigarsinternational.com always has good deals.

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

If you enjoy the maduros, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the LaFLoridita line from Famous and the Nestor Reserve from CI. Both are medium-bodied, and the low prices have allowed me to enjoy them as daily "after-lunch" smokes.

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

i was really thinking about a nice cheap bundle pack as a "who gives a crap smoke" and as a "give a friend a smoke".

i've tried a few cheapos at a buck or two and decided i can get a box of cusanos for damn near as cheap from tobacco leaf or some other name brand cigar from cbid. i know i like those cigars any day of the week, so that's the route im going to choose when its time. i've just over spent this month and im gonna chill out for a bit.

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

I just got a box of Maria Mancini Maduro "Degaulle" from JR Today. They look nice, and work out to around/just under 2 dollars per stick. Also ordered a bundle of Consuegra 502's with the same order. I pulled one of the Maria Manicini's to try tonight, but the rest these are going into the freezer for a couple of days because it has been so hot. Then they will be aged for a few months in the Humi before I try another...

I ordered a bundle of JR Cuban Alternatives (Cohiba Robusto) before this and I am not too impressed with them. Flavor is okay and the cigars look nice, but the wrapper seems thin and they flake quite abit. A few of them have been plugged as well. Burn isn't consistent (Tunnel and Canoe probs) The remainder of these will be aged for awhile to see what happens. They were advertised as a medium bodied smoke, but I find them on the mild side.

I'm smoking a "Roly" right now. Not horrible, but not great. Picked it up at my local store while purchasing a few extra Gran Habano's today for the Humi. Bundles of these can be had dirt cheap. I had to sift through the Roly selection to find a decent looking one, because a lot of them seemed to be pretty trashy looking. I probably won't buy a bundle of these because of that. Just wanted to try out a cheapy to see what they are all about.

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

Thank you for all of the suggestions.
I really love the top end cigars but I have reached a stage that it is no longer practical to only smoke $8 -$20 sticks.

I have come to the conclusion that I need something for the everyday smoke in the sub $3 range, that, while not as good as the big dollar sticks, will still be enjoyable and close in taste to the ones I like.

I will still buy the good sticks that I like, but save them for special occasions.

I also have a new Humi on the way that I need to fill http://seriousshopping.shop.com/op/~...090?sourceid=8
I hope Thompson humidors are better that their cigars.

Thanks again

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

The famous 3000s are great.

Also in your price range: Sancho Panza Double Maduro. I have been very impressed with the SPs for the price.

Re: What bundle do you recommend???

I would go with the CAO Brazil GOL for under $3 a stick from here:
http://www.longashes2u.com/cigars.ph...facturerid=132

They are sold out right now but check back. You can also check there site for other good deals. The Joya De Nics if you like full flavor.
