La Finca "Robusto" Review

These have been a part of my diet for quite a while now. My longtime choice as an inexpensive smoke that fit my budget nicely. Use to always just toss the box on my work bench and go through them like mad. No humi for them, course didn't have one in the 1st place so they were gone in a couple of weeks.

Times have changed now since I went the cooler route and while I had slacked off on the La Finca's I did get a couple of boxes and salted them away for a number of months, boy how they changed. These little 4.50x50 suckers have aquired a whole new taste with a bit of proper care and age. Been having one each morning before heading out to work on painting the house. Not a bit of trouble with the draw on any of them, pretty decent burn and a very nice earthy, semi-sweet spicey sort of taste or so it seems too my jaded palate. At about $1.40 ea they still seem a decent buy. Does not seem that long ago I was picking them up for under a buck. Also enjoy the La Finca "Blacks"

Read a few comments in the past where people called them "dog rockets" well maybe but this dog likes them.

You'll never catch me callin' La Fincas dog rockets. One of the best values around in a budget smoke.

Hell, I might hafta smoke one tonite.

Re: La Finca "Robusto"

I have several boxes of different La Fica cigars. When I first started with this hobby JR was running a special on the La Finca's and I picked up just about every one he was carrying. Most of them are good cigars, the only one I don't really like is the Figurados, the rest are pretty good smokes.

Hmmm, been a month or so since I had one from the box in the bottom of the cooler. Might have to do something about that.

Re: La Finca "Robusto"

Thanks for the review!... Straight and to the point, the way I like them!

I've long been on the lookout for inexpensive sticks that age well into enjoyable "dailies." A few have been dogs, but most have improved dramatically over time. I've not tried the LaFincas yet, but it's now on my hit list!

Re: La Finca "Robusto"

Well now, found those little suckers and toasted one up. Big difference from last time. Think I'll get another box, let them sit while I finish the box I have, and see what happens. Great little smoke.

Great review, BTW.
