For some reason, over the last year, I have ignored the Room 101 brand at my local B&M even though they came highly recommended from the store manager. To me, a cigar blended by Camacho (Eiroa family) didn’t sound appealing since, truthfully, I never really cared much for them. Camacho’s have always been lackluster but very serviceable cigars. Somehow, Matt Booth, the head of Room 101, has teamed with the Eiroas and squeezed what seems to be the best thing I have smoked out of that factory. Check out below what makes this partnership so great.



Appearance : 4.5/5 Stars
The Rosado wrapper adorning this little cigar is light brown with a reddish hue. There is hardly a vein to be seen along its length. The wrapper smells of molasses mixed with dirt, and the foot smelling the same. The tobacco is very fragrant. These little guys come box pressed and are blinged out with a trendy silver and black band and is reminiscent of Matt Booths artistic vision of the brand.


Construction : 4.5/5 Stars
The petit corona is tightly packed with tobacco and doesn’t give much when being squeezed along its length. It has a nicely applied cubanesque triple cap. The clip of the head reveals a good draw with slight resistance, just the way I like it. The burn is fairly straight with any imperfections being quickly self corrected. The light grey ash held firm and only needed to be broken off twice throughout the smoke. The smoke was plentiful, like a mini chimney, chugging out thick plumes of smoke. Thankfully, the burn was very slow and I got well over an hour of smoking time out of this tiny stick.



Flavor : 5/5 Stars
This little guy starts off incredibly creamy with no harshness witnessed, nor any spice. I get quite a bit of earth on the first few puffs and it transitions well into a beautiful combo of more earth, musk, and vanilla sweetness. Really love the start of this little stick. An inch into it, and flavors are that of musky vanilla cream with power but grace and elegance. I consider the Conjura the cream soda of cigars. I do notice later on some cocoa in the background. The flavors never seem to be muted nor too pronounced but are very balanced. Culminates into a plethora of medium bodied floral, leather, musk, cocoa, earth, vanilla, and meringue flavors. Overall, very complex!

When I ponied up my $7.50 to gain admission to this taste roller coaster, I have to admit I was quite skeptical at first. It seems a high price to pay for a petit corona of only 4x48 dimensions. But once lit, all my worries went away, and I was very happy I had given the Room 101 a chance. I recommend you all do too.

This was a stunning cigar with great complexity and balance. The only drawback is the limited quantities of these cigars, especially the petit corona vitola. The petit coronas have already become a secret favorite among the people “in the know” on Room 101 cigars and it seems they have swooped all of them up nationally with only scraps left to entice the curious. I bought what was left of my local B&M, and will kick myself for not giving these a try earlier. Oh well, go out and find one if you can and let me know what you think, I bet you will be impressed as much as me.

Nice review. I liked this stick too, but I prefer the standard Room 101 line
