smoked my last flor de olivia

i've smoked 2 grand cameroons. 1 was ok as far as construction and taste, the other had problems with burn and draw. i dont mind these and liked the creamy taste, but they are just way too light.

now i tried the flor de oliva 10 year anniversary corojo. it just tasted awful and i had to put it out with over half a stick left. the smoke and body was light but taste was harsh and burned my mouth. i will say the ash was very nice and long.

I like FdOs to be honest-theyre great value for the money but i agree theyre a bit mild. Have you tryed the Grand Maduro-you mighjt like those if you like maduros.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I've never had a problem with the FdO's. The Grand Cameroon's are one of my favorite smokes but I can see how they may be too mild for some. Baric is right, perhaps the Grand Maduro will be more suited to your taste.

Just as a side note, the Grand Cameroon and Grand Maduro are currently being re-packaged and re-named. They will be called Serie G and Serie G Maduro respectively. Also they will be in 20 count boxes instead of 25/24.

Not sure yet mate. I kinda expect them to be around the same price. It would be a shame if the prices went up with the new 'image', especially seeing as there will be less sticks per box.
