Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Robusto Review

Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Robusto
Gifted by NCRadioMan; thanks!

Size: 5X52
Wrapper: H-2000; Medium brown, Silky and veiny
Binder/Filler: Blend of Mexican, Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican tobaccos
Constructions: Great, 8/10

First Impression: WOW! Wonderful raisinny spice with a deep oily rich flavor

First 1/3: Great flavors continue! Taste is somewhat similar to a Don Kiki Brown label but with a much brighter taste, not as dark, great! Almost at the edge of lemon brightness with a strong pepper presence through the nose.

Second 1/3: Great flavor, peppery, with lots of raisins.

Last 1/3: Great! Blowout near end.

Final Comments: Great cigar! Definitely a treat and not your every day cigar!

Total Smoke Time: 1hr 23 Minutes

Burn: 6/10
Construction: 8.5/10
Flavor: 7.5/10
Complexity: 7/10
Wrapper: 9/10
Draw: 9/10

Another nice review Tristan. You can't go wrong with Torano, imo. The 59 was the first cigar I burnt my fingers with. Don't think I've ever had a bad one in the entire line.

I agree with NCRadio here. All Carlos Torano cigars seem to have a big following and now you know why. As far as NC's go the 1959's are one of the best.

Great review also...!!!

I have a silver waiting for me in my humidor. However I am not all excited because I read quite a few reviews saying that the first half is good and then the flavour goes away. Hmm...

I agree with what everyone else says. They are a great value, and have very good taste and construction for the price. I had a robusto that held the ash for the full lenght of the stick! Thanks for the review.

Fire her up!!
I like the Silver, has a little more oomph than the Gold.
Both are excellent sticks.
Hard to go wrong with anything Torano rolls.
