Thanks for the link. Looks like I won't be disappointed. Tried to sneak in some more 05's last week in a sampler that said they were included, but CBID (as I kind of expected) replaced them with 06's. Looks like they are both a winner. I think I'll take the plunge this weekend some time.

Cheers,

I smoked the 5 Vegas A last night with one of my bros on the back porch during a light rain. We talked about this that and the other.

The cigar was great. It was a nice smooth draw, thick creamy smoke, and a coffee taste. Very good construction. The ash was about 2 or 3 in before i nocked it off. It was aged about a month or two. I really enjoyed it.

Love 5 Vegas Series A's. I think for the money you can't find a better smoke (although like someone mentioned the IT Super Fertes are close). I see on CI there is a new blend out that you don't mention - "Cask-Strength". I wonder if that's the Vintage you mention. Supposedly these are very limited. BTW, does CI own the rights to 5 Vegas? It's the only place I've ever seen them.

The Cask Strength and Limitada 2006 lines were both released after my review.

I just won a 5-pack of the Limitada 06 for $15 on CigarBid.com. I haven't been able to win any Cask Strength cigars yet; they seem to go for about $5 apiece.

Re: 5 Vegas Reviews: Limitada '05, Gold, & Series "A"

nice review,
I pulled a 5 Vegas Gold from my humi last Friday. It had been in there for about 6 months. I really enjoyed this mild cigar. It definatlly got much better after sitting in the humidor. I was suprised at how much character it had for a mild cigar. cool creamy smoke with a nice after taste.
I have a 5 Vegas Limitada '07 Belicoso that I will light up on the 4th of July. Looking foreward to that.

Great review, glad you liked the smokes. The Series 'A' is my favorite smoke from them right now.

I smoked a 5 Vegas Gold Double Churchill at the drive in last Friday, watching Ocean's 13. Great experience.

You can get them cheaper if you just buy the entire cask. I got mine for aobut $50 or so.

Re: 5 Vegas Reviews: Limitada '05, Gold, & Series "A"

Cigar: 5 Vegas Series 'A' Anomaly
Size: 4.5 x 44
Price: $1.80 a stick from cigarbid.com
Aging: 1 week in the freezer, 1 week in humidor.

I just finished my first Series "A". Damn I'm impressed.

Loved the presentation, dark wrapper, perfect construction, cedar wrap, and big gold/black label. It lit right up using a cheap bic lighter and burned like a razor from start to nub with no touch ups and no spinning to keep the burn straight. Flavor was typical Maduro, 3 dimensional and not harsh at all.
