Cusano m1 Review

Name:Cusano m1
Batch No.: n/a
MSRP: 3.00
Size: 5x50
Aged in my humidor: nope
Drink Choice: Sam Adams Summer ale
Occasion: Sort of 2yr anniversary..a week late
Time of smoke & Weather Conditions: Evening 80's medium humidity
Cut Choice The guy as the shop offered a "V" cut I accepted
Pre-Light thoughts: Well the guy said this was a great smoke..so here goes!!!
The Light:It lit fine, but the flavor did not blow me away. Medium amounts of smoke.
The Draw:A perfect draw..I'm not too picky
First third: eeeh, it was ok, kinda just like your regular cigar flavor, no complexity here, little peppery thats it.
Second third: Was actually getting a little bored of it. The flavor was OK, still peppery...nothing special still. I was trying to purge it and also trying different puffing techniques I learned on CS..Nothing changing
Final third: Didn't nub this one I am ashamed to say...but I did start the last third, and it was the same as the first.
Final note: Was an OK...cigar...Not Thompson bad or anyhting..but just blah...I may try the same brand again, just get a fuller flavor one, ya never know.

I too have had the M1 and wasn't impressed with it. That being said, I really enjoy the 18 (paired Maduro), Corojo 1997, & CC (a bundled variety as is this one). All were good with individual highlights. I recommend trying the other blends before ignoring the Cusano brand.

Great review that summarized my experiences.

Re: Cusano m1

The paired Maduro, Corojo and my fav the C-10 are really good cigars.
The C-10 being nice complex and full bodied.

Sounds like a bit of a let down, imo if you have/get any more of these just forget about them and put them into long term aging and see how that improves them. thats what i do with my dog rockets/disappointments!

I agree. The Cusano 18 is a wonderful cigar.

Re: Cusano m1

Smoked the M1 yesterday and I would agree that it's a little boring. It was mild and consistent but just no ump.

Re: Cusano m1

i don't care much for the m1, p1, cc line but i love the cusano 18-they also have 2 called the hermanos & exclusivos that i plan on trying-the hermanos is discontinued but OSI has a box sitting if you're interested

The Xclusivos are discontinued, as well.
