Thumbs up Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro Review

Indian Tobac Limited Reserve Toro
Size: 6X52
Wrapper: Very light, silky, soft
Construction: Consistant, great
Age: 2 months in the humidor
Price Paid: $1.50

First Impression: Very mild, super smooth, cream with a great tobacco taste.

First 1/3: Great sweet and mild flavors continue. The cigar opens up at the end of this third. The flavor intensifies to a light sweet peppery flavor.

2/3: Excellent sweet, smooth, mild, and slightly peppery flavors continue. At the middle of this third I get a really great almost sun-flower seed taste

Last Third: Blown out and great flavor continues. At a bit over an inch I put this out.

Final Comments: I love these cigars. I picked up three bundles of 20 when they were on special at CI for $30 a bundle! When I first got these they were smooth, though just a hint of harshness because of being green. Just two months has taken out any trace of harshness and now it's pure cream baby!

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

I got a fiver back in April I haven't broken into yet. Well, tomorrow morning with the coffee I think I found my answer to what I'm pulling out of the humidor.

Nice review.

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

Thanks for the review Tristan. I got some a while back and tried a couple of them and didnt care for them. They were probably still young at the time so, I am looking forward to giving them another look. They are well made and have a good pre-light smell to them.

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

I can't agree with this one. I've been working my way through some Ltd Reserves -- "Bears" and "Buffalos", I think they are called. But I really don't like the taste, sort of bitter and cheap tasting to me.

Fire and Super Fuertes are better IT products.

But, of course, my tastes are not usually in sync with the rest of the board. Smoke what you like, I always say...

Tristan:
Okay, so I looked for an old thread/review I thought I did on this one months ago, and haven't found it. So anyway, I had another one months after my last one which I didn't care for all that much. This time was different, this time I liked it
I lit it without problem and the smoke came in great amounts. It smelled great and tasted even better. It's amazing (I'm learning) what a little bit of time will do to the flavor and burn of a cigar. It was all so good, and the flavors and taste of this stick was so much more than it was 5 months ago. As I smo0ked it, I was reminded of why Rocky Patel is so damned good, and why he is one of the top dogs in the industry. This stick is well made, and the blend, while not overly powerful, is well balanced and has a little something for every level of smoker. It reminds me a little of the 5 Vegas Gold in some ways. I missed all of this when I first tried these, but I am glad they have gotten better. I join you in your recommendation of this smoke.

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

I have some of these I just got from the devil site. Thanks for the tip to let them age. I had a super fuerte last night that was sent to me a couple of months ago...all its travels and knocking around in the humi really made a mess of the wrapper. I took it out on the boat and smoked it. The first thing that happened was the cap fell off. I pretty much smoked it with the binder holding it all together-still had a great burn and tasted great. I can't wait for the green ones to ripen

Unhappy Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

Thanks for the very fine review. I'm gonna have to stop reading these reviews, I've got a full page of cigars I want to try, some of you folks are just "TOOOO" good at writing these reviews. What are y'all anway, a bunch of cigar peddlers? If not, you may have missed your true calling
I may have to come out of my retirement in order to maintain this hobby.

That's killer Don! I'm glad you like the cigar. These only get better. It's a good mild-med stick with enough complexity to maintain interest throughout for the right price!

LOL; just get some rental properties or a car wash and use the extra cash! My goal is to accrue a couple rentals during the next 25 years for residual income. It's never too late to start, but hey, this is coming from an overall noob

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

That sounds like a steal for $1.50. None of the local B&M's here carry Indian Tobac, which is unfortunate because I would really like to try their maduro selection. Ill have to check at the B&Ms downtown as selection is a little better in the big city.

YOu need to run with the devil! www.cigarbid.com and get yourself a sampler or a bunch o' 5 packs for cheap. Just be careful; looking at statements after CBID can really kick you in the pants!

Thanks for the review tristan. I liked these right off the shelf, will have to get more and age them a little. Than is a great smoke for the price!

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

Thanks for the review tristan, being new here Ive looked through old threads on this brand and have been wanting to try them. I dont know much about the "devil site" everyone talks about, is this the best place to get them? None of the local places I frequent carry them.

Re: Indian Tobac Ltd. Reserve Toro

Sweet, I am sitting on maybe a dozen or so of these. I will let them relax a while before getting to them.

I also have a few of the candelas (the green ones) and have never smoked one. I think I read above that it should "ripen" is that just leaving it on ice a while before getting to it?

Tx, not sure I should contaminate a fellow texan. The devil site is cigarbid.com. It is an auction site run by cigar international. Can get some good deals on some cigars, but very easy to get addicted. I bought 100 cigars in the first three weeks, and I only smoke two a week. Yes that means I just bought a years worth of cigar, unless I accelerate my habit. LOL

By the way, love the ltd reserve, almost through with my devil site buffalo 10 pack, but never fear I have a fiver of Bison's on the way. Nice and mild, but a spicy under current, these will definatly be a new addition to my regular rotation.
