Thumbs up Montecristo White (Newb Review)

YEAH BABY!

Montecristo White (Rothechild)
5 x 52
$6/stick from CBid - 5 pack

This is a fine cigar!
Great Cunstruction, even burn, long ashe.
Mild w/ citrius and woody flavor.

Great choice for newbs, daytime smoke and/or a good special occasion smoke.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

Interesting...I tried a Monte white band back in the spring and it did absolutely nothing for me.

Maybe it's time to give it a second try!

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

I had one last year and it was horrible. It turned me off to Montecristo. But they do look great and I need to go back and try it again.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

Monte White's are not bad. Had a Toro last night. They are a little dry/weak for my taste, and I prefer the Monte Platinum for its fuller flavor.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

I just had a monte white the other day. 1st half of the cigar wasn't anything to write about, 2nd half was pretty good and the whole cigar packs a powerful punch (gave me a strong buzz) but not worth the price IMO.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

I smoked my first one today while drinking 2 Pale Moon Belgian Pilsners. Nice combo. Little too mild for me but overall had a nice Montecristo flavor. Your review is spot on as I tasted the same things.

There's still time..........

I had two today and enjoyed both! (Punch Rare and Gran Habano Corojo).

Fantastic stick. Proof that a mild cigar doesn't have to be a bland cigar.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

I have also tried these. I like alittle more flavor in a stick - especially with that price tag. For me, it also burned dry and getting to any discernable flavor was a real task. Nonetheless, a great, smooth, even burn that produces a cigar that any mild smoker can sit and enjoy.

I still have yet to try the White. I agree that they can be a pricey stick, but the 4's are a tasty stick with some age on them.

Re: Montecristo White (Newb Review)

The vanished Kenmon sent me several a few months ago - hadn't smoked a Monte White in more than a year. I thought your review was brief but spot on. I found each vitola to be medium stength, outstanding construction and nuanced with some range of great tobacco flavors. It isn't a "bowl you over" cigar but has fine flavor if you're looking for it. Nuanced, that's what it is. (Gorgeous wrapper and great feel in the hand.)
