I know the JDN Celebracions have been pretty favorably reviewed, but I wanted to share some thoughts on the two I've smoked recently - one right now, as a matter of fact.
When I first purchased these about six months ago from Holt's aging room at 60% of MSRP, I though I was getting a pretty good deal, little did I know . . . Fresh out of the box I lit one up for breakfast on an hour-long drive - I was blown away by the sheer strength of the stick, which, though peppery and spicy, was rather one-dimensional. I had smoked the Antano, and knew what I was in for, but when I got to my destination I began to feel a bit buzzed. I stored the rest, and really got into some other things at the top of my humidor, especially some LFD 2000 series and a few others, which occupied my smoking. Well, after about 5 or 6 months, I decided to give these another try - wow - the age did them really well. I'm getting a far more complex smoke, with elements of nuts and cocoa after the first half inch. Really much more than the straight-on assault right out of the box. So, I guess the point is, if you give them a few months to settle in, you will be well rewarded for your patience.

Thanks for the review, I have a few Antanos resting, I guess I'll give them another few months.
Your right on with the buzz from these things. |

Re: JDN Celebracion Toro - with age
I've smoked an antono. No buzz. Whats with that? Tons of other sticks buzz me, but the hyped Antono didn't. I guess I'll have to give another a try
I may pick up a few of these again sometime because I hear so much talk about them. Honestly I wasn't very pleased with the one I had, but maybe if I give one another chance...
