Baccarat "The game" Mild Cigar My review

Sunday afternoon smoke i thought i would try one of these Baccarat Cigars that have been sitting in the humi about six weeks now. Very nice construction looked very well made. Smelled very nice pre-burn easy to clip and very easy to light. Tons of smoke with out even trying. I mean tons of smoke like call the fire department. This was probably the easiest drawing cigar i have ever smoked unlike last weeks Helix which was a much tighter draw. The body of the cigar was nice and soft and supple felt good to hold comfortable for sure. A very nice mild smoke. For me i just could not get any real flavor from it! Thought if i smoked it longer the flavor would change. but alas no. The cigar did not burn hot the ash was long and impressive really a very well made cigar. I bought this as part of a sampler package of which i have now smoked three. All mild cigars i am told, so far my rating

1 Helix - tasty but a tougher draw maybe just the one i had that day, also beautiful to look at very well made.
2 Baccarat The Game - Good in every respect, just not the taste i was lookig for.
3 Don Thoms- Did not like this cigar at all! Could not finish more than half of it

Please would like to read your comments on these cigars also!

Enjoy the rest of your weekends and I will see what we have for next sunday I think a 5 Vegas Gold.

Re: Baccarat "The game" Mild Cigar My review

Many "mild" cigars are what I refer to as "nose" cigars. They don't do much for the overall palate, but have a very nice nose, or flavor in the nose.

I tried a Helix a coupla years ago & found it to be mild & creamy with a nice nose (if my memory serves me correctly). The maduro was more medium bodied & had more flavor.

I still remember the Baccarat fondly as it used to be a "go to" for me. It was mild but had a spectacular "nose." I ran into an old friend recently that I had gifted a few cigars to in the past. He used to smoke Swishers, & when I asked him if he would smoke a cigar with me, he said he was still fond of a sweet tip. I said we could probably handle that & ordered a box of Baccarat Petit Coronas. They should be here next Wed.

Don Tomas (regular line?) has many different blends, many of them are quite good, but the regular line leaves something to be desired in my book also. I found it to have the "papery" quality that many mild cigars display.

Good to see a review on the bacarrat and thanks, a B&M gave me one of these to try not long ago and Ive been wanting to give it a try. Its a Casino Belicoso Torpedo, was this the one you tried?

Which Don Tomas did you smoke? I like the Classicos and the Classico Maduros, they arent strong but usually have good flavor, consistent burn and easy draw, one of my everyday smokes.

Thanks for the review. At one point this was my go-to stick. I loved them at first but then after a month or two I started to find them a bit bland once the sweetness of the tip had worn off. I think these are ideal for turning people from Swisher Sweets etc to handmade cigars.

Re: Baccarat "The game" Mild Cigar My review

That was the first brand I smoked when I got started. I was smoking the connies in the tins. After I had smoked them for a couple of weeks I moved onto more flavorful/fuller bodied smokes, and I haven't had one since. They are a nice beginner smoke though.
The only thing that I can remember about them was the sweetness of the wrapper. It was like they used a sweetened glue.
Thanks for the review.

Just had one this morning. It's a good "morning cigar" in that it's mild but still has a nice flavor. Very creamy, and then levels into a grassy/hay flavor during the last 1/2 to 1/3. The tip is too sweet, but that sugary flavor wears away pretty fast. It's a nice change of pace, and is a good cigar for those who are new to smoking. Still good enough that it can be enjoyed by anyone, though.

Like others, this was also once my "go to" smoke. I am still partial to mild cigars and still enjoy these occasionally but have found others that I like more such as: Rocky Patel Connecticut, 5 Vegas Gold and K Hansotia Symphony.
