Smile Partagas Spanish Rosado- Great Way to Start the Year!

What a wonderful day. Today was my first day of college. I was nervous this morning, sat and had a cup of chai green tea at 5 am.

Got to school on time and enjoyed all of my professors. Hopefully this day will be a sign of things to come! Went to the high school and visited my friend Sheila. From there I went home and started on some of my reading assignments.
My mom suggested that I go to Serious Cigars to "become a regular" so that I can try to see if they need any help jobwise (I HATE my current job). So I did, and they were doing some heavy construction. I picked out 6 sticks (2 of each: Bahia Trinidad Robusto, RP Vintage 1990 PC, and Saint Luis Rey Rothschilds). The checkout girl recognized me and asked how I liked the new flooring. So it looks like I'm a certified regular there!

So I came home and chatted with a friend for a bit. Talked to my mom about some good things. Left for Harvest Coffee.
Sat down, grabbed a french roast coffee. Lit up a Partagas Spanish Rosado San Augustin. I was having coffee, smoking and talking to a few friends (via phone and internet). This smoke held my attention though, with smooth, velvety smoke (although not quite enough of it) and a nice sweet tobacco taste. The cigar didn't distract me too much through any flaws. Only a few touchups were needed (probably due to the wind).

After talking with some friends I put down the phone and computer and took out some study material. Soon after I put that up as well and just enjoyed the sweet grooves coming from the jazz quartet. The San Augustin still captivated my taste buds with it's consistent, smooth taste.

I would say this is definently a medium (mild side of medium) strength cigar. I was very happy with this because I did not like the Partagas Naturale that I smoked last week.

If this is a sign of things to come then I will be very happy this next year in college!

Re: Partagas Spanish Rosado- Great Way to Start the Year!

I've got one of those resting in the cooler. Been wanting to try it for a while, but been busy trying others and haven't gotten to it yet. But, I definitely am looking more forward to trying it now.

To kick off my classes this year, I opted for a Gurkha Class Regent Robusto. It was really tasty and the flavor profile reminded me a lot of the Gold Exodus.

Here's to another great year and many more great smokes!

Hope you find a new job. There's an old saying" never run after a pretty girl or a taxi, there will be another right along". I think at your age that works for jobs too. Good luck in school.

Thanks for that, Trent. I've heard good things about this stick and will have to give them a try at some point. Here's to a great year at college ...and good luck with getting a job at the cigar shop, that would be very cool.

I have always liked the Spanish Rosado's. I like to keep some of the small Rojito's around for when I need a quick smoke.

Good luck in your first year.

Darn it Trent, you make me want to be back in college. It seems like you've got good prespective and will cherish your college days. You are correct Spanish Rosado is a wonderful medium body smoke.

Yeah it was very torn up!

Full Bodied Bruce- Yeah I think that's true. I'm gonna quit here soon when I can find a new job.

To everyone: Thanks so much on the "good-lucks". I hope I can really whip myself into shape this year on getting work done well so I can get a scholarship to Colorado University next year.

I am hoping that many cigars will accompany me while reading my books!

Thank you all again!

And enjoy this great hobby!
