CI Legend - Perdomo Red Label Review

I picked up a fiver of these on Cbid about a month ago. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had not smoked any of the Legends series and was pleasantly surprised. It is a nice looking torpedo, 5 3/4 x 54, with a dark oily wrapper. According to CI the wrapper is sun grown Nicaraguan maduro with a Nicaraguan filler.

Immediately upon lighting it I was greeted with a blast of spicy flavor. It stayed spicy throughout, become slightly harsh around the 2/3 point. Possibly I was smoking it too fast. Draw and burn were excellent, no touch-ups required, and it produced great volumes of smoke and a long, firm ash.

I rate it a strong B+ and think it is an excellent value at under $2.50 on Cbid. Very interested in seeing how it ages.

I smoked the one you sent me a while back and thought it was a pretty good smoke. Nice straight burn, a ton of smoke and pretty darn smooth all the way down to the end, also no re-lights. Looking back at my notes I made I do not recall spice but perhaps what I was drinking with it dulled my already dull taste buds.

Just lit up an Oliva Angel before I logged on. Also gave a contractor who came by today to look at some siding repairs I need done a Padillia Habano He's coming back Wednesday to do the job....worked better than waving a fistful of twentys at him.

Don't forget to take that Padron 64 with you to keep the mosquitos away and the "44" to keep the bears at bay.
