CE Beck y Ca Cuban Crafters sampler pack Review
Having seen a review of this cigar earlier that rated it as mild i was intrigued to light this one up, seeing as i thought it was going to be a medium-full. 7.5 -not great, just average. overpriced if anything.
Name: CE Beck y Ca Toro Batch No.: MSRP: around $100 for 25 Size: Toro Aged in my humidor: 6 months Drink Choice: Apple juice Occasion: None, just sitting on the balcony watching the world go by Time of smoke & Weather Conditions: Warm and sunny, slight wind Cut Choice: Guillotine Pre-Light thoughts: Medium brown with veins. Full aroma of tobacco with musty sweet draw. The Light: Very good The Draw: Very good First third: Initial few puffs medium body. good tobacco taste. mellowed out without the flame at the foot into a creamy with little taste with slightly cinnamon aftertaste (gentle spice as opposed to in your face pepeer spice). changed to a grassy smoke (not bad grass, more a stronger vegetation taste.) Second third: Mild-Medium body, getting harsher on immediate draw then mellowing out into grassy taste. Not a bad taste but not great. Harsh and grassy with slight spice-its going downhill. Final third: Medium body grassy flavour still there. strong harsh taste becoming predominant. Develops the characteristc Cuban Crafters sour taste early into third third, began to mask flavours so threw it. Final note: Good enough but bad value considering the cost. typical CC smoke. Buy a don kiki red or brown for a thrid of the price if you want this taste profile. |

Re: CE Beck y Ca Cuban Crafters sampler pack
Baric:
I had one of these about a month ago after it had about the same amount of age to it as you described. I did not find the same things that you did. Yes there was some harshness but, with mine, the spiciness was there but noit the grassiness and overall I liked it. I agree though, it is overpriced when compared to other smokes in the CC line but a solid cigar in my opinion.

Re: CE Beck y Ca Cuban Crafters sampler pack
Another good review! I found this to be a very mild cigar IMHO also. Seeing what the price is I would rather buy a JL Salazar or Brown Label from CC; two smokes that have been my favorite CC smokes amoung cigars I've smoked from their sampler and off the shelf.
