Camacho Coyolar Puro Review

Shape.............Perfecto No.1
Length............4 1/2
Ring...............50
Filler...............Honduran
Binder.............Honduran
Wrapper..........Honduran
Cost...............$5.00

Pre-Light
This bad boy was a short 4 1/2 inches long with an extremely dark wrapper, slightly oily to the touch. The smell was rich overpowering tobacco. After clipping and taking a few pre-light draws I knew I was in for a full bodied cigar.

General Thoughts
Lit up nice and easy but the wrapper appeared a bit loose and had to watch some canoeing issues, I had heard that this had been common with this size. I have always been a fan of full-bodied cigars and the Camacho brand in general, but I think they went to far with this cigar. The immediate taste that hit my palate can only be described as deeply burnt coffee and I would say there was a similar smell(you know we all have been in an office where some jackass forgot to turn off the coffee pot or make more and has ruined the pot with a burnt nasty layer of coffee), I am pretty sure Camacho went around to these offices and collected the samples and mixed it in with their tabacco.

Conclusion
Reasonably priced, but due to construction issues and taste I would not recommend or try again myself.

Thanks for the review. I like the shape of these. Sounds interesting- that's without a doubt.

Re: Camacho Coyolar Puro

I just bought one of these a few days ago and I've heard mixed reviews. I think I'll let it rest in my tupe for a few months before torching it. Thanks for the review.

Love this lil suckers. Wish longashes still had them for $60/box because I will be buying another box when my first one is gone. This is definitely one of my favorite Honduran cigars.

I smoked mine last night, I figured that it sat long enuff. I must sadly say that I concur, burning issues and lack of taste. However, the beer I had with it, Sam Adams Octoberfest, was excellent.

Re: Camacho Coyolar Puro

I did a reviewon these not too long ago and my experience with them was opposite - not burning or unraveling issues. The aroma/flavor was also opposite - I enjoyed the smoke. Might give them one more shot. Great review!

Yeah, I read your review and what we expereinced was night and day. I really wanted to like it, its was nice looking and smelled good too. Maybe I'll give it another try, but buy from somewhere else, just to be scientific.
