Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina Maduro Review

I have not had one of these in years. It used to be a favorite but I quit buying them when one of the boxes I purchased did not taste as good as they used to.

It has been many years since I have smoked one so here goes. . .

Beautifuly constructed as always, firm nice dark rich color as this is the maduro version. Pre light taste good.

Light her up. . . .

Mmmm so far so yummy. Nice blue smoke and very smoooooothe. So far so good.

Let us smoke 1/3 and I shall continue report.

If my memory serves me correctly I remmember choclate undertones with these. We shall see.

Wonderfull smoke full of spice. Did not detect the chocolate undertones as I recall from the past but a wonderfull smoke. I would say mild to medium. Very flavorfull and nice blue smoke.

This is not one you would do a full inhale with however as it will get cha good.

The flavors realy come through when you blow some smoke out the ole nose.

Yummy cigar. Not quite as good as I recall but a dern good smoke.

Lasts a long time by the way.

Left almost two inches on it as it started getting to spicy and hot.

One of my favorite Fuentes, thanks for the review. I almost can't believe how much more I like these than the naturals, wish I could put my hands on a Sun Grown.

Couldn't agree more guys. I've got 2 boxes of these aging. When I want a truly delicious, relaxing satisfying smoke I go to these. I agree, there is some variation in them, not every single one is as tip -top as I've come to expect, but even the not quite fab ones still take me to nirvana, or at least close enough... Larry.

I had one this weekend with a paper and a coffee. It was delicious. Only been resting about a month or so in my humi, who knows how long at the B & M. I had spicy floral for first 1/2...straight chocolate finish. Great smoke.

At the rate you're accumulating cigars... we probably ought to look into the cost of lining your entire house with cedar and hoping your skin doesn't wrinkle up at 70% RH!

This was one of my four cigars of choice yesterday evening, and it was great. Had 6 months of age on it. Exact, even burn, nice draw with just enough resistance, and spicy tones (not peppery) with a cedar/floral background. No biterness until the very nubbable end. Some sweetness came through from the Maduro wrapper. This is my favorite of the 8-5-8's, and I will be buying more.
