Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Review

I would like to start by crediting ca21455 with the review format, was reading his earlier and found it very easy on the eyes. hope he doesnt mind.

Cigar: Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Churchill.

Size:7 x 48, Churchill.
Wrapper: Honduras, rich dark color, I expected lighter on the 1990, but it was a deep brown.
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan Ligero.
Purchase: 5-pack I got for 19 bucks.
Price: $19.00/5
Drink:N/A
Place smoked: A house party, everyone migrated outside so I lit up this Beaut.
Cap: Good looking cap, no problems even after the cut, or lack there of
Cut: Teeth?!.
Light: Lit perfect, no 2nd try needed
Burn: as striaght as anyone could ask for.
Ash: nice light color held for atleast 1.5 inches
Draw: Good smooth draw, no plumes of smoke, but enough to satisfy.
Finish: Good flavorful finish, not much change in flavor in the last half of the stick.
Body: Started mild-mediumish, got stronger after about 1/3 smoked.
Strength: Mild-medium to start and builds to medium.
Performance: Great initial taste from light to about 1/3 in, then it kicked it up a notch and got a lil stronger, great burn and draw all the way through, finish wasnt to strong but gave a great flavor

GREAT cigar, was enjoyable the whole way through, nubbed it in no time(not sure whole long it actually lasted). Great smooth flavor would smoke this one all day long, a box is a definite investment in my near future

I love the 90's but am partial to the 92's. Next you gotta try a sungrown. Possibly my favorite stick out right now. Great review!

Good review, and the format is well organized. I recommend you get the whole lot of em (1990s;1992s; RP Edges; Sungrowns). They are all excellent smokes and will provide just the kind of variety that will never let you or your palatte down
I just had a 1990 Churchill yesterday, and as usual, I was disappointed when I had to put it out. I was so damned good, I didn't want it to end.

The Patels are always a consistant smoke. I like the Indian Tabac line as well. I have a few Sungrowns that I bought on CBid and I'm just waiting for them to rest a few weeks in the humi. I would smoke a Patel everyday if there weren't so many others I like

I just picked one of these exact sticks up yesterday at the "new" B&M, and it is resting in the humi now. Ive never had a Rocky Patel before, and I am looking forward to it. The cigar looks great - definitely one of the best looking sticks in the price range.
