I haven't had the 64 or 26 yet. I might have to get one of each to compare.

Ditto.

The 26's are a different smoke from the 64's.
If you want milder, stay with the 64's.
If you want more intensity, along with a deeper hole in your pocket, move on up to any of the 26's. Try the 35's in the 26 line. They are incredible little guys that will last you about 45 minutes of pure pleasure.
Either line, Maduro for me all the way.

Of course tastes vary, but IMHO, it is arguable that either line can be considered the best of the non Cubans.

I lean towards the 26 line, to me those have more of a richer flavor than the 64. Having said that all the Padrons are great. Plus, your local crack dealer has the No. 1 natural and maduro. Get them while you can before I run out of the shop with them.

64s seem to be a special occasion cigar in comparison to the thousand series. good review.

love them all, the 26 by far is Top Notch followed by the 64 followed by the X000s and then the rest. You won't find a better line of smokes by one company that is more consistent.

I identify a 64/26 special occasion as any occasion.
Hard not to want them daily and just pass on the 1000's.
They are steep here in the states but not much different than a top end ISOM.
I can pick up a box of 25 1926 35's for about $250 (shorties- about 45 minute smoke)
A box of 1964 Monarcas go for about the same (almost a churchill).
Are they very over priced in the UK due to taxes?
How do those prices compare?

Thumbs up Re: Review of my 1st Padron 1964 Anni

Both Anny lines are worth the money, enough said. The X000 series are great too but different, defiantly worth a try to see if you like ‘em. I know I do. Nice Review

Re: Review of my 1st Padron 1964 Anni

I said it in another post and ill say it here, I think the padron lines are by far the most consistenly great cigars you can find, all the way from the thousand series to the 24's, I <3 Padron.

I'm yet to see a Padron Anni in the UK. If they are available I would expect them to be very similar in price to top end ISOM's. Everything in the UK is overpriced!

Re: Review of my 1st Padron 1964 Anni

i'm yet to try the 26's but the 64's are great. i don't hear anyone comment on the 6000. I think of the other x000's this is the most complete and smooth stick of all the padrons ( excluding annis of course). give em a shot, this is absolutely one of the best, consistent, everyday smokes out there.

Re: Review of my 1st Padron 1964 Anni

I agree with whats been said, I like all of the Padron Line. The PAN 64 Diplimatico is one of my current favorites, I've smoked a few this month and enjoyed each one, they ranged in age from 4 years to a couple months, The age made little diiference in flavor to me, I think the Padron Anni series are GREAT right out of the box.

As far as the 64 and 26 series, I think their both great, but IMHO the price of the 26 series dosent justify the difference between the two (thats just my opinon based on my taste preference) someone else may feel completely different, you'll have to smoke both, thats a good thing, and decide for yourself. I'll stock up all the 64's I can and leave the 26 series for someone else.

I think the Padron 000 series are an excellent value, the 2000 and 3000, are both around 4 dollars a stick, and although there not an anniversary series they have a similar taste profile. The 6000 torp in Maduro.... Very Good! I allways have several Padron 000 series around.

I say you can't go wrong with a Padron, regardless of wrapper, size, or series.

Have fun try em all....
