I have a full box of the 64's just sitting but agree on the 6000's...I really like them as well as the 5000's + their in my price range comfort zone.

Just had a 26 tonight and IMO, it was more intense than the 64, just an incredibly rich excellent smoke and definitely more similar to a cuban smoke than any NC I've ever had. It got a bit hot at the end, but still surprisingly similar to ISOMs....

Re: Review of my 1st Padron 1964 Anni

I had a '64 as my 'special occasion' smoke on the week-end (a great way to end a b-a-a-d deal / work experience!! I was sooo looking forward to this one!!). Definietly a sweet 'special occasion' smoke.

Long & square. A good smoke. I did enjoy it, and it made for a very happy afternoon.

But not quite worth the $60CAD for it.
I guess i'm still a noob!!
My tastes aren't quite that refined [yet]!!

Newbie question: Is the 1926 that much better? Is it worth it?

Also, how do the 2000, 3000, 4000 etc. compare? You can almost get 3 for the price of 1 Anni, and I'm trying not to go broke.
Yup, goooood cigar. I prefer the PAM but the PAN is nice for a change. Age some for a couple years, they get really good. I have some PAM from 02, I'll post a review later.

The 1926 40th Anni torps I've smoked were definitely worth 25 bucks - smooth as silk. I am less enthused about the "regular" 26's.

The "K" series (2000, 3000, etc) don't really compare... the exception being the 6000. While not as smooth, the 6K maddie is very close in flavor esp. when aged.
