Te-amo Cabinet Belicoso Review

Most of us have had a Te-amo or two.

Well it seems that curiosty has got the best of me and I thought it was finally time to smoke the one that made its way into my humidor.

This is actually a nicely constructed cigar. A good looking torpedo with a dark oily wrapper. A little bit of straw scent on the cigar. Quick clip and the predraw is easy and a little musty. Toasted the foot and was pleasantly surprised by the aroma. A nice draw gives a slightly sweet taste with a woodsy overtone. Not too much smoke. A little more mild then what I expected, still a medium to heavy body, just not overpowering. After a while the woodsy flavor gives way to a more grass/hay flavor. Leaves a musty aftertaste that is not unpleasant, reminds me of working in the garden. The burn at the halfway point is decent, just a little touch up with the torch. Flakey ash that drops without any provacation (not something to smoke bare chested). As we close in on the three quarter mark an almost fermented hoppy flavor begins to dominate. The finish is interesting, the hoppy flavor starts to go bittersweet, almost cocoa, before becoming unpleasantly bitter. I will not be nubbing this one, but I am very surprised in the depth and complexity of the blend.

I won't be buying a box of these. but I will pick up a few loose sticks to keep in the humidor for change of pace. Or maybe to smoke for cinco de mayo next year.

Glad you enjoyed it. After the one Te-Amo I had , A few more of these and I might be tempted to try one again.......

Or not. I don't think I got through 1/4 of it before I said

But really I like any review. It's what was impressioned on YOU by the cigar that counts so thanks for taking the time to post it.
