Torano Virtuoso robusto Review

Bought this at my b-and-m the other day and was really looking forward to trying it. The wrapper is a very light maduro, almost halfway to a natural and looks very tasty. The prelight smell was classic "maduro scent", after punching it the prelight draw was a tad loose like most toranos tend to be. Pre light flavor was leathery. Fired it up with my bic lighter and it started out full bodied, with really spicy wood flavors, it soon settled down into a more leathery and less spicy woody taste. The second third developed a little bit of flavor like bread or baked goods and maintaned a leathery taste, burned very unevenly and had to be corrected. The last third of this cigar tasted as best i can describe, exactly like a cheap cowboy hat (it was a good taste). My drink during the smoke was whole milk, which helped to smooth out some of the harshness of this cigar.
Overall this was a good full bodied cigar, it held it's ash well, had a solid flavor profile, and gave me a medium strong nic buzz. My main complaint is that this cigar was quite harsh throughout the smoke, but i think that with a little age it will soften a bit and become a geat smoke.
Overall rating - 7.5 out a possible 10

Hmm... Does this invoke the burnt 7 year Madagascar vanilla rule?

I have not found them harsh at all. Maybe a bit of time resting would help with the burn issues. Or it is possible ya just got a bad stick. These I like a lot. I find them a great stick.

These are never good right out of the store, imo. Let them rest in your environment for a few months and they start to shine!
